Isparta (Greek: Σπάρτη, Baris) is a city of 220,000 inhabitants in the Lakes District of Mediterranean Turkey.

By train[edit]

There is one overnight train from Izmir (8½ hours), the Goller Express. Operated by TCDD[dead link], this train unfortunately only has pullman seats and no sleepers. There's an additional daytime train, which terminates in nearby Burdur.
