Appearance
There is more than one place called Lake District:
- Lake District of Finland, roughly the eastern 3/4 of the southern half of Finland, known locally as Järvi-Suomi/Insjöfinland.
- Franconian Lake District, is in Franconia, south-west of Nuremberg in lower Bavaria. Consisting of the lakes Altmühlsee, Brombachsee, Rothsee, Dennenloher See and Hahnenkammsee, which together form a lake district which is equal in size and infra-structure to the Upper Bavarian Lake District.
- Lake District (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
- Upper Bavarian Lake District, is in Upper Bavaria.
- Italian Lake District in north of the country.
- Lakes district, a region in southern Sudan.
- Lake District National Park, a national park in North West England.
