Lohr am Main
Lohr am Main is a town of 15,000 people (2021) in the Main-Spessart district of Lower Franconia.

By plane[edit]
Germany's main hub, Frankfurt airport (FRA IATA) is less than 100 km away as the crow flies and there are direct regional trains from Frankfurt main station or ICEs to Aschaffenburg from where you can change onto a regional train.
By train[edit]

Regional trains are operated under the VVM tariff union, meaning you won't get a price quote for some connections at the bahn.de website but will at the vvm website. The city is on the Würzburg – Frankfurt railway line and can be reached by RE. Trains run at least every hour from both directions and stop at the only station "Lohr Bahnhof". The train station is about 2 kilometers from the city center and is connected to the public transport system.
By car[edit]
Lohr is on the eastern edge of the Rhine-Main area, about 80 km by car from Frankfurt. From there Lohr can be reached via Autobahn 3 (exit Weibersbrunn) in about 1 hour by car.
By bike [edit]
The Main Cycle Path leads through Lohr, as does the Kahltal-Spessart Cycle Path. Via the neighbouring town of Gemünden (13 km) connection to the Franconian Saale Cycle Path and the Werntal Cycle Pat.
Get around[edit]
With the well-developed public transport system, all larger towns in the area can be reached from the central bus station on the parking deck (not far from the pedestrian zone).
The Lohr Liner public bus system serves the entire city area in five different lines.

In the summer months the "Maintalbummler" runs several times a day as a pleasure boat, with destinations in the immediate vicinity. Boat trips from Karlstadt - Lohr - Marktheidenfeld.
