Lydford is a village in Dartmoor, the English county of Devon. The village sits within Dartmoor National Park.

[edit]Lydford was a Saxon town protected in the 13th century by a castle tower. It is known for the 1.5 mi (2.4 km) wooded gorge cut by the River Lyd through slate.
