Mayfield is a small rural village in East Sussex, in the South East of England.

Mayfield is just off the A267.

By train[edit]

The nearest train station is Wadhurst (station code: WAD), which is about 10 minutes drive away.

By bus[edit]

There are bus services operated by Stagecoach from Mayfield High Street to Heathfield and Tunbridge Wells. During the day, these run half-hourly, but do not run late into the evening.

  • [dead link] The Middle House, High Street, +44 1435 872146. Built in 1575 and once occupied by Sir Thomas Gresham, the Middle House has accommodation, bar food and an a la carte restaurant. There is also a beer garden, and accommodation. The owners have opened a delicatessen in the High Street selling bread, meat, cheese and vegetables.
