Montgomery Township is located in New Jersey and consists of two towns, Belle Mead, and Skillman. There is also a part with a Princeton address. It is located in Somerset County in Central New Jersey. Two neighboring towns are Princeton and Hillsborough. It is about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia.

• Princeton Airport, 41 Airpark Road, Princeton. The airport is in Montgomery. (updated Apr 2024)

If you are driving you can get there on 95 and NJ Turnpike which are the most popular roads to take. Route 206 also runs through the center of montgomery from Princeton to Hillsborough and is the major thruway of the town.

Get around

You need a car to get around. There is also public transportation in the form of bus stops which run along route 206.

See

• Montgomery Park, Belle Mead. It is a great place to come with you family or spouse and get some exercise or just sit back and watch the local sporting events that take place there. There are soccer fields, basketball courts, picnic tables to each lunch on, two play grounds, a bike and walking path, as well as baseball fields, and great sledding hills during the winter.

• Montgomery Cinemas, 1325 Route 206, Skillman/Rocky Hill (in the Montgomery Shopping Center). It has a variety of films as well as a concession stand where you can buy a variety of delicious movie snacks. It has a great ambiance and is in a convenient location. 
• Cougar Stadium, 1016 Route 601. With fall comes the Montgomery Highschool football games are held here, which are widely celebrated in the town. The games charge a five dollar entry fee and host a concession stand that sells various snacks and foods at reasonable prices. 

Eat

• Bagel Barn, 1225 State Road, Princeton. Has the best bagels around. It is a huge hot spot where the locals go with a variety of all day breakfast items served on their fresh bagels made daily. 
• Alfonso's, 1200 Route 206. A great Italian pizzeria with a variety of options at a reasonable price. It has casual setting with delicious food. 
• Tokyo Sushi, 1378 Rt. 206, Skillman. Has delicious sushi at a great price. It is casual to dressy. You can choose to either sit down and eat or order take out. There is a wide variety of options on their menu. 
• Rodolfos Pizza, Montgomery Shopping Center at 1325 Route 206. Has delicious soft crust pizza and a legacy of doing business in Montgomery for over 30 years. It has a casual atmosphere and prices in the 8-15 dollar range. 
• Ya-Ya Noodle, 1325 Route 206. Offers quality Chinese food at a 20-30 dollar price per person. It has a semi-casual atmosphere and a wide menu from standard Chinese fare to exotic bubble teas. They offer both on site dining and take-out. 

Drink

• Tiger's Tale, 1290 U.S. 206, Skillman. A popular bar and restaurant in town. A family place for dinner and a hopping night spot for the late crowds. They have bands come to play music after dinner hours on the weekends as well as offer some great specials. The food is excellent and the dress is dressy/casual.
