Nankoku (南国) is a city in Kochi prefecture, Japan.

  • 1 Oko Castle Ruins (岡豊城跡). A good place to view cherry blossoms in the spring.
  • 2 Tosa Kokubun-ji (土佐国分寺). The 29th temple on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage.
  • 3 Zenjibu-ji (禅師峰寺). The 32nd on the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage.


Cycling is very easy, and Monobe River offers good canoeing opportunities.



Local tomatoes are very good. Local hard, stick cookies are also good.


Nearly all Kochi people love drinking sake. Watch out!
