[edit]Neubrandenburg is just of the A 20, about 180 km north of Berlin, 100 km south of Stralsund.
The rail station is at the intersection of the Berlin – Stralsund and Lübeck – Stettin lines.

[edit]- Town wall. Fully preserved town wall with four Brick Gothic town gates dating from the 14th and 15th century.
- Marienkirche (St. Mary's Church). 13th century North German red brick Gothic style
- Regionalmuseum Neubrandenburg (Neubrandenburg Regional Museum).
- 1 Tollense battlefield. A Bronze Age archaeological site at the northern edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The battle fought here in the 13th century BC probably involved thousands of warriors, with about 750–1,000 dead.
- 2 Ukranenland, Jatznicker Str. 31, 17358 Torgelow, ☏ +49 3976 202397. A museum depicting what Slavs living in the area may have lived like. There is also an information centre near the village, the high medieval building complex "Castrum Turglowe" next to the club's hostel in Torgelow, and a shipyard for the construction of a cog in Ueckermünde.
