Port Washington is a city in Southeast Wisconsin.

Get in[edit]

By car[edit]

Port Washington is a quick hop off of I-43 between Milwaukee and Sheboygan. It is on Lake Michigan and it has a great marina to pull your boat into.

From The North

Coming from Sheboygan take I-43 South, exit Highway 32 South near the Allen-Edmonds Shoe Store.

From The West

From the West Bend/Newburg Area, take Highway 33 East till you get to the lake.

From The South

Coming from Milwaukee take I-43 North, exit Highway 32 North just after the Grafton Exit. Highway 32 merges with Highway 33 to take you to the downtown area.

By bus[edit]

  • Milwaukee County Transit System, [1]. The MCTS operates the Route 143 Ozaukee County Express connecting Milwaukee and Cedarburg to the Port Washington park and ride lot, about 1.5 miles north of downtown near I-43, exit #100.

Get around[edit]

This is a small Wisconsin town. It is nice to park on the street and walk around the downtown. You can also stroll out to the lighthouse on a pleasant day, but it is kinda of slippery. If you park your boat, the marina is in the downtown. The whole place is very main street USA.

  • Pebble House (Port Washington Visitor Center), 126 E Grand Ave, toll-free: +1-800-719-4881. This is a house made of pebbles that now serves as a visitor center.

Check out the nice small beach on Lake Michigan on the road near the power station.
