See

[edit]
  • 1 Sant Pere Church (Església Parroquial de Sant Pere). The current parish church was constructed starting in 1682, just above the former Romanesque church of the village, which had been demolished. Dedicated to Saint Peter, it is of a simple Baroque style. The church had three wooden Baroque altarpieces of significant artistic value. Unfortunately, the temple was plundered during the Civil War (1936-1939). Practically everything inside was destroyed and thrown into the river. • 2 The Main Square (La Plaça Major). Like in almost all towns, the social life has always revolved around the Main Square, where different businesses and the fountain were located. In this space, most of the town's significant events used to took place: markets, Sardana dances, fairs, festivals, and all sorts of social gatherings. The population growth in the early 2020s and tourism have made the square too small for some events, and they have been moved to other locations in the town, although the Main Square still plays a significant role in the town's social life. One of the iconic buildings on the square is Can Trona.
  • 3 The Beach (La Platja de Sant Pere Pescador). The municipality's beach has a length of approximately 6 km (3.7 mi) and a remarkable width, ranging from about 20 to 50 m, although it significantly narrows when affected by eastern winds. It is located in the central part of the Bay of Roses. The wind often blows here, making it a perfect place not only for swimming but also for practicing water sports, especially surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing.
