Santa Lucía de Gordón is a village in the central mountain of Castile and Leon. It has a population of 400 people (2019) and it is the second biggest village of the municipality.

It's famous for the coal mines, which for many years has been the workplace of most people in the region. They also eat very well, with its high-mountain cuisine. The people are very simple and friendly, but they have the character of the hard men of the mine.

[edit]You can get there by car along the road of Asturias. It's 36 km from León and 118 km from mountain Pass Pajares.
It has a railway station on the León-Gijón line.

[edit]Since few people live there, there are very few shops and bars. It's a very quiet village, maybe a little boring. But it has a very beautiful landscape and beautiful paths to walk through the countryside.
