Santa Paula is a small town in Ventura County in California. The town was an early center of California's petroleum industry and today advertises itself as the "Citrus Capital of the World".

Ghosthunters claim that the hotel is one of the most haunted in the region, and it serves as the headquarters for the American Paranormal Research Association (A.P.R.A).
