Get in

[edit]

There are two sections of the park – Seven Mile Beach on Beach Road and an unnamed road into Gerroa Beach, the latter of which is unsealed. Both are spur roads off Crooked River Road.

To visit the park from the north, use the Belinda St exit from the A1 Princes Hwy and then turn right onto the roundabout at Fern St. Continue your way and follow signage to the park.

From Nowra, use Bolong Road east and then follow signage to the park.

Fees and permits

The park is free to enter.

See and do

[edit]

The main things to do are to walk either of the sand track loops – Sand Track Loop (north) or Sand Track Loop (south), both of which start at the Beach Road Picnic Area.

The North Loop is rated as a Grade 4 trail and about 5 km in total, though in practice it is rather flat and easygoing, provided you are okay with walking on sand. It takes roughly betern 90–120 minutes to do the loop.

The South Loop is slightly shorter only around 4 km in total. The conditions mirror almost exactly like the North Loop.

On a good day, both Gerroa and Seven Mile Beaches are rather great for swimming, though they may not always necessarily be patrolled.

Buy

[edit]

There are no shops in the national park.

Eat and drink

[edit]

You must bring your own food into the national park; there are no shops in the park. The park, however, does contain two picnic areas.

  • 1 Beach Road Picnic Area, Beach Road. A small but spacious picnic area between both Sand Track Loop North and South and between the park's most popular swimming spot.
  • 2 Gerroa Picnic Area, Unnamed Road (at the northern access road into Seven Mile Beach National Park). Summer 8AM–8PM; winter 6AM–6PM. A smaller but also slightly more secluded picnic area closer to Gerroa Beach.

Sleep

[edit]

There is no accommodation within the national park – the nearest accommodation can be found either in Berry or Gerroa and along the roads towards either.
