[edit]- Spud Day: . A week of events in September culminating in a day of celebration (the Third Saturday in September) honoring the potato. Some of the events include the Tater Trot run, a pancake breakfast, a parade and the "Spud Tug", a tug-of-war over a pit of mashed potatoes poured out of cement mixer. Other attractions are the potato picking contest, craft fair, a demolition derby and lots of potato based foods. Free except for the demolition derby and pancake breakfast. (date needs fixing)
