Skidaway Island is in Coastal Georgia. The area is home to the gated community of The Landings, which is home to over 8500 residents, over half of whom are over 60; hundreds of short term guests visit each year.

[edit]Skidaway Island is 40 minutes from the Savannah-Hilton Head Airport. From Savannah take highway 204, which leads to Diamond Causeway, the only road to the island. Once on the island, cross over the crossroad to the main gate.
To enter the Landings you'll have to clear security at the main gate. Longer term residents may add a bar-code to their vehicles to expedite border formalities.

[edit]The Landings includes various clubhouses such as The Plantation, Oakridge, Deer Creek and Marshwood, offer meals. Smith Village grocery store sells groceries. There is a small snack bar at Franklin Creek.
