What is this term "Alornese"? Alorese speakers might be called Alorese...but Alornese? In any case it might be better to say "inhabitants of Alor" so as not to be confused with the ethnolinguistic Alorese group.

kalabahi

[edit]

is it ok to start a page for the main city of kalabahi? Gecktrek (talk) 02:15, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • It is usually best to start by adding information to an existing article (i.e., this one), and then if there is a lot of information, split the article out. If you have only a little information about Kalabahi, then it is more useful to readers to include it in this article so the can see all of the information about the island in one place. ok, the problem is the hierarchy, should be Alor Archipelago, Alor and Kalabahi... which means moving info to the relevant pages. for example, the main airport services all 3 (ie. Alor Archipelago, Alor and Kalabahi), as does the pelni and asdp ferries, which all dock in kalabahi, but again apply to all 3... Gecktrek (talk) 02:27, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
The hierarchy isn't a problem if the information is all presented in one article. Right now, we have no information about where to sleep in any of these places, for example. And very little information about where to eat. I see no reason to break this article up yet. Why don't you start by adding information here, and worry about breaking it up if there gets to be a lot of information? Ground Zero (talk) 02:32, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
