vfd discussion[edit]

  • Delete. Doesn't really constitute a need for an article. This should be a listing in Sandusky only. (WT-en) Sapphire 05:38, 1 April 2006 (EST)
  • Keep. Project:What is an article? explicitly mentions large amusement parks, and this is apparently a large amusement park. (WT-en) Jonboy
  • Keep. Cedar Point is a major amusement park, and yes: you can sleep there. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 10:50, 3 April 2006 (EDT)
  • Keep... ish. "Large amusement parks" is an exception, not a rule. I'd think of Disneyland as a better exception, in that its internals (TomorrowLand, the Matterhorn) have become part of American culture. I'm not sure I know any of the attractions at Cedar Point, but I'll take JB and TVB's word that this amusement park is comprehensive enough to be an exception. --(WT-en) Evan 10:08, 6 April 2006 (EDT)
  • Keep. Didn't this discussion end more than a year ago? For some reason the "marked for deletion" tag appears on the article now. Don't delete, keep it. Cedar Point is a major destination, and yes, people actually live there, at least during the summer.
  • Keep. Cedar Point is a major destination, 7 million visitors a year to Erie Cnty. and it does have a place to sleep, (several hotels) as well as about three miles of very expensive homes.

Adding links to other websites[edit]

Hi, I have seen many places in this article where link to either English Wikipedia or Coasterpedia (http://coasterpedia.net) (whichever provides a better article) would fit in well, but I'm not sure what the system is for WikiVoyage (never been here before), can someone tell me what the guidelines are on linking within articles? Thanks. NemesisAT (talk) 15:46, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's not done. See external links. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:14, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Thrill rating"[edit]

Wikitables aren't so common in Wikivoyage articles, but I think this one is very helpful to people planning a visit. But how were the thrill ratings arrived at? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:36, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - I was nervous adding them - but thinking from a traveler's perspective, concluded they would be helpful. The thrill ratings listed are set by the park. Would it be helpful to explain that a bit or link to their listing? Thanks! --Varnent (talk)(COI) 18:51, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, absolutely helpful. I think the explanation is pretty essential, and I think the link would be fine. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:32, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
