Logan[edit]

I see you've put the Logan Square content in here. Is there any chance of the Logan area getting its own district? Or should I update the main districts map to merge it into West Town? --(WT-en) Peter Talk 18:30, 19 September 2007 (EDT)

It could get a separate article, although I don't foresee that happening any time soon. No need to update the main district map. (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 19:06, 19 September 2007 (EDT)

Closures[edit]

They say they're looking for a new space, but for now, I'm moving the listing here. (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 01:00, 1 November 2007 (EDT)

Humboldt annexation[edit]

Whoa, the actual park, Humboldt Park, is located in the Logan community area and not the Humboldt Park community area! For once, I'm not convinced the traditional boundaries make much sense here. Any objections if I annex the areas west of Western Ave to the Chicago/Far West Side? Much of what I have been writing about the Humboldt Park neighborhood applies mainly to the areas just east and southeast of the park. --Peter 06:52, 8 November 2007 (EST)

In the past, while I had friends living there, we thought of everything west of Western as Humboldt Park. So that makes sense to me. (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 07:27, 8 November 2007 (EST)
Whoops, I meant above that Humboldt Park is technically in West Town (not Logan). No matter, the annexation proceeded as planned. Although the Far West was satiated by merely shifting the border to Rockwell. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 04:49, 9 November 2007 (EST)

Just curious[edit]

But around when was Wiker Park cool? I lived there from '91 to '99. Does that count?  ;) -- (WT-en) Mark 09:48, 10 April 2008 (EDT)

Why is there no mention of the actual park? Unless I missed that somewhere... and the actual location where High Fidelity was filmed is the store on the corner of Honore and Milwaukee

Star nomination[edit]

Marc wrote a great article to Chicago's hoppin'est neighborhood. It's a good read, complete, and up to star status. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 17:25, 18 February 2008 (EST)

Support. (Thanks.) (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 18:42, 18 February 2008 (EST)
  • Support. Looks excellent, save for the "Bongo Room" restaurant, which I can't seem to find on the map. (WT-en) PerryPlanet 01:42, 19 February 2008 (EST)
Should be fixed too. Thank you for catching these! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 02:32, 19 February 2008 (EST)

Permanent Records (Buy #10) is located on Chicago Avenue, not Division Street as indicated on the map. (WT-en) Eco84 21:28, 21 January 2010 (EST)

Fixed, and thanks for the proofing! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 23:06, 21 January 2010 (EST)
It looks like you placed it on North Avenue instead of Chicago Avenue. (WT-en) Eco84 13:12, 23 January 2010 (EST)
Gah, feeling silly now. Unless I've somehow goofed it up again, it should be fixed. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 02:18, 24 January 2010 (EST)
