Towns

The text describing the county in the towns section should be moved up to the top as part of the introduction. It makes no sense and is out of context in the town section. (WT-en) Terence s 13:23, 11 July 2007 (EDT)

Big Fix

I've noticed that somebody has been doing a great job in adding a lot of useful content to the article. However I feel it needs a huge clean-up. It can get very long-winded & essay-like. Plus the headings seem to have been blended into a single huge one. So I'm going to start on that right away. It would be great if we could get a small team together to pull it all together though. But if not I will try my best.

The basic plan is to...

• Restructure the entire article to give it some sort of shape.
• Get to work on putting only the necessary information.
• Work on photos.

I've been looking through the other Irish articles & will try to use the County Carlow article as a standard to set it from.--(WT-en) Disonyxiated 13:37, 7 December 2008 (EST)

Removed Region Section

Ok, so I've removed the region section & replaced it with a more usable 'Towns' & 'Notable Village' section. It felt like an injustice leaving some villages like Roundwood out of the towns list due to their size. Likewise, simply putting villages in the town section might be confusing because 500 people clearly doesn't constitute as a town. Update

All the pages within this county were overhauled in Aug 2020. This includes Wicklow Way, though I didn't try to build it into a detailed trail guide.

There were no mergers / redirections. New pages were created for Arklow, Blessington and Wicklow Town - using that name as Wicklow maps to the county, in line with common usage, though Wikipedia maps it to the town. There were half a dozen little places (eg Avoca or Rathdrum) that didn't merit a page for lack of accommodation and POIs, though relevant stuff has been tucked into the nearest town.
