Restaurants in the Get Out section

[edit]

If those suburbs can be considered districts of Des Moines then I'd create them as such. We typically do not list restaurants in the Get Out section. Either they should be placed in the appropriate district or town article, or they are close enough to put them back in the main article. (WT-en) Texugo 04:23, 1 September 2006 (EDT)

Royal Mile

[edit]

Definitely not serving beers found no where else in Iowa. Most of their beers come from John's Grocery in Iowa City. In my experience the best selection of beer in the state can be found at The Sanctuary, also in Iowa City. Mile does have a great selection for Des Moines, though, especially upstairs.

OK, strike "no where else" with "unlikely to find." I've been to John's in Iowa City, and while I respect it, I wouldn't necessarily paint DSM as some inferior beer haven. It's all about "your" experience, unknown commenter, and I think most WT'ers are interested in traveling and find out what theirs is. (I also worked quite a bit on the Iowa City article, cleaning it up and what not, and feel free to plunge forward here or there with any insights you might have which would be good for site visitors to know.)(WT-en) Zepppep 19:08, 8 January 2010 (EST)

Restaurant out of business

[edit]

Stella's closed for the third time in several years.

  • <eat name="Stella's Blue Sky Diner" alt="Stella's" address="3281 100th St, Urbandale" directions="" phone="+1 515 727-4408" email="" fax="" url="http://www.stellasblueskydiner.com/about.html" hours="" price="$10" lat="" long="">Used to be downtown but the new 'burb spot is bigger. The whole place says "fun" and make sure you get one of their milkshakes made with Iowa's own, Blue Bunny Ice Cream (poured on top of your head for an extra quarter). Vintage car nights.</eat>

Locations...

[edit]

Do we really need an exhaustive list of locations of chain restaurants? Take a look at Be-Bops, Tasty Tacos, and Jethro's. I would just say "various locations" or maybe list the original (or most central) location and say "and others". Thoughts? Mrkstvns (talk) 19:17, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

See WV:Boring. Should we mention them at all? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:33, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
