Links[edit]

We should remove all those "other guides" from the links as per policy. Didn't do it because Mark's like a hawk over this one. May we? -- (WT-en) Nils 09:49, 23 May 2004 (EDT)

I really still think that that policy is kind of dumb, since the other links are useful for research at least until we get all of the information we need into our own articles. That said, Geneva is pretty far along compared to many of the other articles, so I don't really care that much if you remove the other links.
I still think your fixing HTML lists by taking whitespace out of Wikitext is totally korinthenkacker, because wikitext is not HTML. -- (WT-en) Mark 13:46, 23 May 2004 (EDT)
I have no comment on this, except that korinthenkacker is the best word I've seen all day. --(WT-en) Evan 23:35, 23 May 2004 (EDT)
Fuck you too. -- (WT-en) Nils 03:31, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
Now now kids, just people somebody says "raisin pooper" doesn't mean you need to start suggesting sexual intercourse with them... (WT-en) Jpatokal 06:20, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
I think it has a secondary meaning of "fussbudget", but I really shouldn't take chances like that in my third language. That said, I don't think Nils meant what he said quite literally either. ;) -- (WT-en) Mark 06:42, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
I keep meaning to start a talk about what we should link to under "External Links" (imho maybe it should be "Offical Link" and all the research stuff could go on the talk page)... anyway, it's just two links, not a big deal-- I'm sure no one would mind if they really bother you, Nils.
This is a really great article-- I just can't say that enought. Thanks Mark et al, for such good work! (WT-en) Majnoona 00:11, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
I agree -- it's a wonderful piece of work.
A couple of thoughts. First, if there are good guides to a place that we want contributors to mine for information, let's put those links on the Talk: page.
Second, I'm going to try to get Mark's patch for lists in the next couple of days, so we can see this problem go away. --(WT-en) Evan 12:49, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
Thanks! Still I really am unhappy about having chased Nils off again. We need people like him around. I guess I should hold my comments until I am more sober. -- (WT-en) Mark 13:01, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
