District vs city

[edit]

If this is two hours away by bus, I don't think it makes sense to call this a district...? (WT-en) Jpatokal 00:58, 27 October 2006 (EDT)

Zengcheng is not a district of Guangzhou, but a city under its admin. Following the example of the categorization the 23 cities in Tokyo prefecture (see Hachioji as example), I have unlinked it as suggested. (WT-en) WindHorse 01:41, 27 October 2006 (EDT)

This was the lede for the Jinshazhou article, which was merged and redirected here. Perhaps some of this content would be useful to use in this article:

Jinshazhou [金沙洲] is located in the southwest of Baiyun District of Guangzhou City, which is part of Xunfengzhou, which borders the South China Sea of Foshan in the west of Guangzhou City and is surrounded by water. In 1959, Xunfengzhou had 13 townships, and Hengsha and Shafeng in the 13 townships were transferred to the 28th district of Guangzhou, which was under the jurisdiction of Shijing, and most of the rest were still in the Nanhai district of Foshan City. In 2002, Hengsha and Shafeng were carved out of Ishii to set up the streets of Jinshazhou. Both villages of Hengsha and Hengsha had a word "sand", and the area was named "Jinshazhou", which gave people expectations for the prosperity of the new streets. Jinshazhou River scenic beauty, historical sites, across the South China Sea District of Foshan City and Guangzhou Baiyun District, is the most outpost of the city of Guangzhou Buddha, has become a beautiful scenic line between the two places.
