Why is there no mention of the African Sidis population from Gujarat? Out of sight out of mind, eh?

Plunge forward and put the information in yourself. (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 19:04, 14 January 2012 (EST)

Moved from "Understand/People"[edit]

Perhaps you can get something out of this rather disorderly text:

the people of Gujarat are the most lively folk you are likely to encounter in India, brimming with businessmen and all those exotic mouth watering delicacies,Gujarat is advertised by Bollywood superstar amitabh bachchan .whats more,Gujarat has many festivals like the rann mohotsav which is a versatile ,exorbitant and colorful festival where lakhs of people gather every year.originally started as a camel market.it now houses many different markets and mediums of entertainment. the next place which you would like to visit is nalsarovar .thousands of migratory birds mainly flamingos flock in to survive the cold weather in their native countries. Gujarat has the highest amount of state turnout being a business hub.the city of Ahmadabad and vadodara are two mini metros which are home to everything a modern tourist would like. from 5 star hotels to malls and multiplexes and also rich culture and heritage.

Regional structure[edit]

Anyone else find the regional structure very confusing? Gujarat is only part of the state of Gujarat?? Shall we reorganize this, and if so, how? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:31, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Intercommunal rioting of 2002[edit]

This was a horrific event, and it has to be covered in this article, but the coverage should be sensitive. Would anyone like to try their hand at writing something brief and putting it in "Understand" in the context of a broader, though still brief, "History" subsection? Other destinations[edit]

I think the "Other destinations" section should be reserved for destinations that don't represent individual settlements for all cases and not just a handful of regions. This is consistent with our guidelines in Wikivoyage:Article templates. Although I've removed Dwarka from "Other destinations" as it is an established town, I haven't yet removed Kevadia from the section despite being a human settlement. Why haven't you removed Kevadia? Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:05, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I thought I need a discussion on what destination should be included in the "Other destinations" section. Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 02:52, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikivoyage:Region article template#Other destinations: Sometimes a region has destinations that aren't really cities: for example, large national parks. If so, list them separately here, with descriptions. Otherwise, leave out this section. This section, too, can be renamed if all destinations fall into a nice category, e.g. "Islands" or "Beaches". Thank you. I'm removing Kevadia from "Other destinations". Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 05:34, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
