Firstly may I answer Ikan Kekek's question posed in his edit summary: I think this is a wonderful picture that you have chosen and more appropriate for this travel article than the one you have replaced which required a specific attribution. Thank you!

However, your edit summary does raise another issue. In it you wrote: "I think there's a general consensus that we shouldn't clutter WV pages with credits, which are already at the links.". I haven't followed that many discussions over the years, so I'd be grateful if you could give me some pointers as to where that consensus is recorded. (When I started editing Wikitravel in the early years, the names of the last twenty or so editors of an article were recorded at the bottom of the article and my feelings are that this encouraged folks to contribute. If this is technically possible, this might be something to resurrect in order to encourage both registering of accounts and the development of our many stub articles. Many people like to see their names "in print"!)

Thanks again for your patience and wisdom. --222.127.76.207 01:44, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly don't know, and I may be wrong that there is such a consensus. Why don't you bring this up at Wikivoyage talk:Image policy. Make the point you're making here, with a link. And thanks for the kind words. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:37, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
