Villages, sights and scope[edit]

On the map, there are the villages Kirkonkylä and Metsäkylä (spelt in Russian), clearly telling "parish village" and "village in the woods". I assume the former used to be the centre of the municipality and might be of interest. Also, the Ladoga Skerries National Park borders Impilahti to the west and south.

The Wikidata item seems to be about the current municipality, with a small area that does not include any of the park, nor the two mentioned villages, nor the glamping site. The park should be covered in its own article, but covering the nearby rural area, including these two closest villages seems more useful than to have them handled in the city article of Sortavala.

I changed the scope to include all of "Impilakhtinskoye rural settlement". Whatever that name means, I think this article now fits nicely between Sortavala and (yet to be written) Pitkyaranta, without leaving gaps in the hierarchy. The park should probably still be split out, when we have enough information to write a useful ("usable"?) park article. –LPfi (talk) 08:51, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
