Japanese kid's characters[edit]

Japan has a lot of ubiquitous kid's characters such as Doraemon, Anpanman, Ultraman, Studio Ghibli characters (Totoro, etc.), and practically every region and state has others (Marimokkori, Momotaro, etc.). Many of the theme-based children's attractions, museums, and amusement parks are based on these characters, and children may be much more likely to enjoy these types of things if they are already familiar with the characters. Might it be a good idea to mention these in a Prepare section or other place? Texugo (talk) 12:32, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea! I'll add them into See/Do, as all of them have theme parks etc. Jpatokal (talk) 07:25, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

More sections[edit]

I added sections on game centers and purikura, with pictures. I think maybe the "theme parks and museums" section could be split up so that the character-themed attractions have their own sections and we have a separate sections to mention things like children's science museums, major zoos/aquariums/bird parks, and other amusement parks (Disney, Fuji Q highland, Nagashima Spa Land, etc.). I also wonder if it would be worth it to include some of the giant ferris wheels dotted around the country. Texugo (talk) 12:32, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome! Jpatokal (talk) 05:48, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Organization[edit]

Would this be more helpful organized by topics as it is currently or by region? I can see uses for both. Themes are nice however, it's not practical for travel to have places in Shikoku next to those in Tohoku. Currently the article is just "Tokyo with Children" so it doesn't have that problem, but it should be a nationwide article. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 14:22, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
