The following text was removed from an ambigious page. It appears to be referring to this article, but I am not positive. If someone knows better, please move place it in the appropriate location. -- (WT-en) Ilkirk 09:51, 15 Nov 2005 (EST)

kadjai is in the deep rural south of bg, unemployment runs fairley high,it is fairley geographically isolated, theese factors coupled with the communist pullout make kadjali EXTREEMLEY CHEAP..weather wise the climate is semi mediteranean, not surprising as it boarders 35miles to greece 35 miles turkey it is farliy mountainous ,the hills covered with oak and pine ...air is of good quality, water is pure all food is organic as no pesticides ars used [they cant afford them]..a few brit pioneers ,like myself are buying houses there..it will be a godsend when plodive airport runs 365..24/7..bulgaria is in nato and joins eu inless than 2 years..prices will rise..but at the moment,it must be the cheapest place to buy and renovate as a bricklayer who works 12 hour days for 6 days a week will earn a monthley wage of 140 pounds ...ther are no religious tensions from the muslems...of turkisk origin..food and wine is superbe, fresh, and organic.a steak meal with wine in a resturante with a brandy [rakia]is in kadjali ..3.50 pounds..the main bread winner appeares to be tobacco and grapes..there are no polluting industeies..indeed it would be fair to say the area is beutifull but economically depressed..as i understand ,you dont need a licencs in kajali provence.i recomend,,www.bulgarianproperties.com...b.t.udall however in winter its minus 3 with snowfor cheap sking

"Kurdzhali (city)" or "Kurdzhali"[edit]

Should this article be moved from [[Kurdzhali (city)]] to Kurdzhali - ? ~ 203.144.143.8 00:43, 22 December 2006 (EST)

Well, there's a Kurdzhali (province), so there should be a Kurdzhali Project:Disambiguation page... (WT-en) Maj 00:53, 22 December 2006 (EST)
I thought it probably should be moved, and that there should not be a disambiguation page. Project:Article naming conventions says:
Provinces and prefectures surrounding important cities of the same name are common examples of the "so much more famous" rule. When a city X and its surrounding region share the exact same name, and the city is much better known, the city gets "X" and the province goes in "X (province)". Examples: Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires (province), Hiroshima and Hiroshima (prefecture), Ayutthaya and Ayutthaya (province).
This seems to have been applied across the board in many (most?) countries where all or most provinces are named after (ie have the exact same name as) their provincial capitals.
There is a Buenos Aires (disambiguation) page, which makes sense because WikiPedia:Buenos Aires (disambiguation) lists 20+ possibilities, but there are (currently) no disambiguation pages for Hiroshima or Ayutthaya. ~ 203.144.143.8 02:32, 22 December 2006 (EST)
As there seems to be no other places named Kurdzhali except for this city and province in Bulgaria, I would not set up a disambiguation page, but instead follow the Hiroshima and Ayutthaya models. (WT-en) WindHorse 02:40, 22 December 2006 (EST)
One other consideration - Wikipedia uses an alternative spelling: WikiPedia:Kardzhali ~ 203.144.143.8 04:43, 22 December 2006 (EST)
A brief look at google sites places Kardzhali the most popular name by almost a margin of two to one. So, based on that I would adopt Kardzhali (with the a) as the title for the main article, while adding a redirect from Kurdzhali (with the 'u'). The name of the province should likewise be changed.
