"Go Next" section needs Hwy 12 and Road 40
[edit]I don't know where to find the template for Hwy 12, which might exist, and one is needed for Road 40 (the Moha Road to Gold Bridge/Seton Portage).Skookum1 (talk) 06:30, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Kaoham Shuttle
[edit]Here is some email correspondence with the Lilooet tourist office about the Kaoham Shuttle. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 02:18, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- Q: Behind the scenes, the LillooetBC.ca website has a schedule ( http://lillooetbc.ca/PDF/Kaoham-Shuttle-Schedule.aspx ) for the Kaoham-Shuttle. Considering that the rail-bus service does not appear on any other webpage on the Lillooet website, is the shuttle still running as a public transit service? Is the schedule on the Lillooet website still current?
- A:The Kaoham Shuttle is a public transportation service created for the people that live at the south end of Seton Lake in the communities of Shalalth & Seton Portage. Yes, the schedule is current.
- Q: As a rail fan, I was thinking of the train ride through the scenery as a return day trip from Lillooet. According to the schedule, the train leaves Lillooet at 10:30 am and returns from Seton Portage at 12:00 and 2:30 pm. Someone on the internet said reservations are a must. Do you know how such reservations are made, and how much notice is required?
- A: One can only do the return to Lillooet trip on a Friday, leaving the CN train station at 10:30am. The ride is one hour long down the lake, a quick turn-around and back to Lillooet by 1:00pm. That is the only time and day when you can return to Lillooet. Otherwise you would have to stay in Seton Portage for the night. The Friday runs are subject to availability, even if you have a reservation, as the locals get first chance at the seats. The phone number is as listed on the schedule, 250-259-8300.
