JENKINS HOTEL - BLOOMSBURY:I would advise anyone to avoid this bed and breakfast. They call it a hotel and there is nothing about it that I can recommend. We payed quite a bit (85 Pounds) for a very small room, a bathroom that you could not stand up in (or at least my parter couldn't and he is 6ft). Bland breakfast and the area was quite un-safe after dark. The beds were very narrow and the rooms were cold. All in all, I would say not to go there. Although, the British Museum was quite close and the it was only about a 20-30 min walk to the theatre district. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn, (which we normally find to chain-like),Bloomsbury, and enjoyed our stay much more. You are still close to the British Museum and theatres but at least you know your room will be warm and the staff will smile.

Removed reference to Pinchitos restaurant as it has now unfortunately closed.

Fitzroy House

[edit]

The listing for "Fitzroy House (aka L. Ron Hubbard House)" in the See section links to a web page owned by the Church of Scientology, so I assume the "museum" about their founder is also run by them. This should be very clearly mentioned in the listing (so that people know what they are getting into) due to the controversies around that institution (see Scientology - Controversies). Alternatively, the listing could be removed entirely - but I have a slight preference for adding a warning. What do others think about that? 00:13, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Good catch. I think that rather that a warning, it would be best to merely make a clear mention of who owns and runs these institutions. By the way, just in case you haven't had occasion to check, keep in mind that the Wikivoyage standard is be fair, not non-POV. However, that doesn't give us a license to unnecessarily court controversy. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:07, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
