Talk:Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park

Nice to see interest in this park, but might it be better as an attraction under Johnson City (Texas)? Unless I'm missing something, it's a day-use park only and you can't sleep there, which probably disqualifies it as a destination. Our policy on United States National Parks is somewhat inconsistently applied, so I could be argued out of this, but a merge and redirect looks best to me. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 19:23, 21 June 2008 (EDT)
- I'd support a redirect to Johnson City... this seems like it's more of a museum, even though it's called a nat'l park... really doesn't seem like it needs its own article – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 19:52, 21 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, the national historic sites are rarely, in my experience, comparable to the National Parks, or even National Monuments. They're usually small museums. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 20:22, 21 June 2008 (EDT)
