Can someone think of something nice to say?[edit]

Poor Merthyr gets a worse rap than Bihar. I quite enjoyed my brief visit there, nothing spectacular, but I wasn't unhappy to be there. Surely someone can think of some hidden gem that might put it on a traveller's itinerary somewhere? --(WT-en) Inas 00:50, 10 December 2008 (EST)

I would love to write something good about the place, but believe me there is nothing of interest there. You must have been on a high when you passed through (joking). However, as you say, there may be some hidden gem waiting to be found. Let's hope someone has had better luck finding in than 99% of the people that have passed through the town. —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 58.10.36.200 (talkcontribs)
I'd hate to see a gem like "The town has nothing to offer the casual visitor, and you are only likely to end up there if lost or have a morbid interest in urban degradation" removed, but perhaps the page could tout more the town's proximity to Brecon Beacons, and the possibility of using it as a base for exploring the park? --(WT-en) Peter Talk 14:46, 10 December 2008 (EST)
