Suburbs of Mysore

The different areas of Mysore is usually understood by the locals in the following way:

• Mysore North: Gokulam, Hebbal, Metgully and Bangalore Road.
• Mysore South: Mananthavady Road, Ooty Road, J.P.Nagar and Kuvempu Nagar.
• Mysore East: Bannur Road, Siddhartha Nagar, T.Narasipura Road, Teresian College area, Zoo Garden, Karinji Lake and ATI.
• Mysore West: Hunsur Road, Yelwala, Jayalakshmipuram, Bogadi Road and Universty area.
• Mysore Central (downtown area): Yadavagiri, Railway Station Area, K.R.Circle, Palace area, Devaraj Market, Urs Road, Bus Stand area and JSS Hospital area.

I have no suggestions per se because I've never been to that part of India, but I do have questions. My first question to you would be, would it be helpful to travellers for this information to be added as part of an "Orientation" subsection of "Understand", with a clear explanation of what the highlights of each area are and how to recognize where you are and how to get from one part of town to the other? "Orientation" is a standard section in fr.voy articles; you can see one example in English in Tunis#Understand. I'd want to be careful about including too much information and confusing the reader.

My other question would be about districting. So far, it doesn't look essential to district Mysore on this site, but are there a lot of other things you'd consider worth listing, such that we should have a districting discussion? Mysore is not a hugely populous city, at 887,446 in the 2011 census, but Seattle, with an estimated 684,451 residents in 2015, is smaller, so it all depends on what's most useful for the reader/traveller. Clump of photos

It would be nice to distribute photos throughout the article and not have a big clump of them in violation of Wikivoyage:Minimal use of images. I think some of them are not needed, anyway. Any thoughts on which ones we might eliminate? Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:58, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
