italian city?[edit]

> Nafplio looks like an italian city.

Dear 62.1.102.145, could you please give some details on this? What specifically make Nafplion look like an italian city? Let's make this piece more practical and objective, if possible. --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 20:25, 17 February 2007 (EST)

I think the updated version is good. (anonymous, June 2009) —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 62.38.141.211 (talkcontribs)

Name[edit]

The name of the place is Nafplio and not Nafplion, therefore the whole should be transferred under that name. —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 79.166.83.204 (talkcontribs)

See [1] for discussion of proper naming. --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 10:31, 24 May 2010 (EDT)

The official name of the place is Nafplio, using other option from the official only contributes to confusion. Therefore i am going to move it under the proper name when i find how. If you r further interested on the issue, check the municipality's official sites www.nafplio.gr http://www.nafplio.gov.gr/, http://www.nafplio.info/ etc. Even google has 5 times more references for "Nafplio" than Nafplion" Denis above, see the discussion in the article you are refering. Wikipedia does not make its own names, it just uses the names already existing. (18 Dek 2010)
