Serious inaccuracies.

[edit]

There's no evidence that Iraq and Syria occupied the city at any point in history. I've no idea where this came from.

And the name "Geordie" as a title for locals is not from miners being called George or Geordie. There's many different interpretations however the most commonly cited is that the miners of the era used a lamp invented by George Stephenson, nick named the Geordie Lamp as opposed to the Davy lamp invented by Humphry Davy. 194.247.49.2 09:10, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

I suggest you read beyond the first line of 'Understand' to understand where people from modern-day Iraq and Syria fitted into the Roman occupation of Britain.
Aside from that, this is the travel guide that you can edit, so please change the info on "Geordie" in the article rather than having a moan here. Thank you, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:12, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
