Organization[edit]

This article seems like it could use some reorganization, since the sections have fairly non-standard names. It'd also be nice to see safety consolidated into one section. There probably also needs to be a warning along the lines of "this is inherently dangerous". - Sdkb (talk) 19:02, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

All-terrain vehicles[edit]

All-terrain vehicle(s) redirects to here, and this might be a good place to discuss driving them, but they differ enough from off-road cars that there should be a separate section on them and advice should be checked for whether it applies to both. Does somebody have experience in them? –LPfi (talk) 14:04, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Car types[edit]

The car types section now just presents offers by different manufacturers. A very incomplete list bound to quickly get outdated. In twelve years it hasn't changed much: some copy editing and two models added (without description). I changed the heading to Vehicle types, and hope there could instead be a discussion on what kind of vehicles there are and what kinds are needed for different journeys. I assume a real off-road car isn't always needed, and I assume there are some features important on some journeys and not on others. The general description on Toyota may not be true for new models, but includes the point of overseas spare availability, which is important. This would also be the place to discuss the ATVs. –LPfi (talk) 09:25, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the format and removed some list items with no description. Content should be added on considerations rather than models, as outlined above. –LPfi (talk) 10:18, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
