Food[edit]

The nationalparks.fi site claims there are kiosks at the Oulanka camping ground and in Juuma. If you can replenish in those, you need to carry food only for some 25 km at a time (along Karhunkirros – and no other trail is more than about 25 km). Is the information wrong, is the supply unsuitable or is there something I did not think of? --LPfi (talk) 10:32, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

When I was there, there were definitely no kiosks, but it was in the end of May, so there might be some kiosks in summer. Heisy Bordel (talk) 07:35, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's odd, because it is common and easy to have the service, as they have staff for the camping grounds – and the kiosks are essential and mentioned on the nationalparks.fi pages. They might not be open in May (I notice the camping ground is said to be open Jun–Aug), but it should still be visible. --LPfi (talk) 10:59, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I just saw the closed camping ground. Hard to say if the closed buildings are kiosks or some camp infrastructure buildings. Heisy Bordel (talk) 14:22, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
True. --LPfi (talk) 15:12, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
