Move proposal

I propose moving Oviedo to Oviedo (disambiguation) and moving Oviedo (Spain) to Oviedo.

Oviedo (Florida) is not a significant tourist destination (I have been there many times). The city in Spain is undoubtedly the one most travelers will be looking for. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 14:38, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for raising it. For me as European, the capital of Asturias is an important place, while I don't know why I should know the town in Florida (even if it probably has more to offer than what's hinted on in the outline). If most Americans feel otherwise, then we should respect that, but I assume most agree with you. –LPfi (talk) 07:54, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

I never heard of Oviedo, Florida before I saw an article about it on Wikivoyage. As you said, Oviedo, Spain is an important place. The move proposal seems like a no-brainer to me. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:06, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

This was never implemented. I've renamed the disambig page as Oviedo (disambiguation). "Oviedo" now points to Oviedo (Spain), but I can't re-assign the Spanish city to "Oviedo" - it probably needs an admin deletion to free the name. Can someone assist?
