Historic details

[edit]

Hello @Hobbitschuster: As you may have seen from my post in the travellers' pub I was rather afraid that the history section was too long and detailed and asked for some streamlining. Now, your additions regarding provisions of late Prussia's republican constitution are somewhat conflicting with this aim. Do you really think that the constructive vote of no-confidence is a need-to-know fact in a travel guide? We should bear in mind that Prussia's republican period was just 14 years vis-à-vis centuries of monarchical rule, so this may rather be a side note interesting enough for an encyclopedia, but not a travel guide. I think it is sufficient to note that Prussia was indeed a republic for some years, ruled by what may be called a centre-left coalition, which is surprising enough, given the stereotype of Prussia as a stronghold of authoritarianism and conservatism. --RJFF (talk) 10:50, 15 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
