Can the title 'the Institution' be changed to 'Viswa Bharati University' to make it more clear (WT-en) WindHorse 23:22, 18 October 2006 (EDT)

Hi P.K.Niyogi - Actually, 'Fairs' and 'Festivals' should be listed under 'Do' not 'See' - for your reference take a look at this page: Project:Where you can stick it. By the way, this article is looking really good. I have often passed through the town on the train. Now I have the info I need to get of have look around. Thanks for your efforts (WT-en) WindHorse 23:28, 18 October 2006 (EDT)
Thanks. I only hope that people will add to the 'Sleep' section and put in photographs. Santiniketan is somewhat ill kept and neglected but there is no dearth of visitors. I have been going for many years. -- (WT-en) P.K.Niyogi 00:07, 19 October 2006 (EDT)
The reason I would go is because I'm fan of the great poet, philosophy and playwrite Rabindranath Tagore, not so much to see the town itself. (WT-en) WindHorse 00:49, 19 October 2006 (EDT)

Listings outside Santiniketan

[edit]

Should I add listings outside Santiniketan? It seems like there are a lot of useful listings for Bolpur and Prantik. Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 07:46, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you feel that would best serve the visitor to Santiniketan, but if so, I would suggest for you to state in the lede or "Understand" section that Bolpur and Prantik are also covered by this article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:35, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Baul culture

[edit]

Santiniketan is said to be famous for the baul culture, but the meaning of that word is never explained. Could someone please give a brief description of it somewhere, if it is something a visitor can experience? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:01, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
