Talk:Sapporo
Add topicGet around: NSEW or EWNS?
[edit]I see it explained that Sapporo intersections are (in English) "North X West Y". Is this correct? The reason I ask is that here in Obihiro they are 'West 1 South 5' etc., i.e. reversed. -- (WT-en) Kleinzach 04:59, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
- Weird. But according to the listings on both en and ja, addresses in Sapporo do seem to be in the form 札幌市東区北7条東9丁目2-10, so NSEW seems correct.
- North and South come first in Sapporo. 114.180.21.197 16:28, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
Ramen
[edit]I just wanted to mention that Aji no Tokeidai doesn't have a great reputation among people who actually live in Sapporo. It'd be like going to Burger King for the authentic American cheeseburger. Sure Burger King makes a decent burger, but you can do a lot better.
Aji no Tokeidai is where you go for Hokkaido Ramen when you're not in Hokkaido. Anyplace else loudly proclaiming the hokkaidoness of their ramen is not selling hokkaido style ramen. 202.94.128.202 02:45, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
For that matter, about Ramen Yokocho the article says: "While many tourists visit the alley, Japanese people come as well - and the experience is very enjoyable." Japanese people can also be tourists, not only foreigners. Locals don't go there. Not that there's anything wrong with that because Wikivoyage is filled with touristy recommendations. 114.180.21.197 16:30, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- Please plunge forward -- and how about telling us where the best ramen is then? (WT-en) Jpatokal 21:58, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
