As you can see, so far I've put up naught but a slurry of point-form crib notes -- sort of a framework to hang more developed ideas on. I'm planning on fleshing the page out in my copious free time, so I apologize in advance if my contributions seem to barely trickle in. =) (WT-en) RickScott 01:49, May 19, 2004 (EDT)

No worries. I think we're all happy to see any page started. And you, or hopefully others too, can just augment it as time passes. Thanks! -- (WT-en) Colin 01:58, 19 May 2004 (EDT)

Should this be treated as one city that straddles a border, as Niagara Falls is? -(WT-en) phma 07:50, 19 May 2004 (EDT)

I can't seem to find any explicit policy on the matter. Lacking that, and so long as the combined format doesn't become awkward, I don't see any reason to buck the trend started by Niagara Falls and Twin Cities (Minnesota). Thanks for the pointer and encouragement...(WT-en) RickScott 23:08, May 20, 2004 (EDT)
To answer the border question, yes. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario has an international bridge which ends in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, USA. The Soo is a border city.(WT-en) Carrie 20:49, 28 June 2007 (EDT)

Would be helpful for tourists to visit this link:- http://www.superiortrails.com/ss-marie.html (WT-en) Carrie 20:55, 28 June 2007 (EDT)

Question on editing: This city's name is spelled Sault Ste. Marie, not "...Sainte ...", so I changed the spelling throughout the article. I would like to change the name of the item though and have redirects to it, rather than the other way around. Being extremely new around Wikitravel, how would I do this? I think you're suggesting moving the pages to Sault Ste. Marie, with a redirect from Sault Sainte Marie; is that what you want to do? You should be able to do that by clicking on "More", then "Move" and following the prompts with the input you want to insert. If not, someone else can do it. But can you link something attesting to the point you're making about the town's official name? (By the way, this is Wikivoyage, not Wikitravel. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:19, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
