Lemma[edit]

The Oromo are using latin letters in their language. This village is named Shaashemannee/Shaashamannee officially and noted on different (street) signs. --RolandUnger (talk) 06:02, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. Which name are you using at de.wikivoyage? Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:18, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I did not yet started with this article. But I am planning to use the Oromo writing of the site names because they are written on the street signs (besides the Amharic version which cannot be read by many travelers) as you can see it in the article on South Ethiopia. Now I try to contact Ethiopian/Oromo people to get the correct writing. Of course we hat to use redirects for other known name variants. --RolandUnger (talk) 06:09, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Right. We should change the name. Do you figure the first spelling is used more? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:00, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
