Spelling of city name

"Sivasagar (previously spelled Sibsagar) (Assamese: শিৱসাগৰ Xiwôxagôr) is a city in the Sibsagar district in the state of Assam in India."
If the name is now Sivasagar, I doubt that the previous name is so well-known in English that there's any reason not to change the name of the article accordingly. What do you all think? Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:54, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
