Regional breakdown

[edit]

I'm wondering if we should approach the districting in a similar way to West Side (Los Angeles County). Some of the borders, especially in the inland South Bay, are somewhat abstract. Consider the triangle of Hawthorne, Lawndale, Gardena, and all the unincorporated areas around them.

How about:

  • Harbor- (San Pedro and Wilmington)
  • Torrance (with Lomita)
  • Inland South Bay - (Hawthorne, Gardena, Lawndale, LA Harbor Corridor)
  • Inglewood (with Lennox)
  • Palos Verdes Peninsula- (RPV, PVE, & RHE)
  • Carson
  • Coastal South Bay- (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach)
  • El Segundo

My apologies for not finding this sooner, MC! Anyway, looks good to me, for the most part. I think Lennox is already counted as part of Inglewood (given how small it is), and I already combined the various Palos Verdes neighborhoods. But it'll be good to get some more full coverage over the Harbor neighborhoods and combine the rather skimpy Inland pages. My one qualm with this proposal is that I don't think we need to combine the beach pages (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach), since each of those seems to have enough content to justify remaining separated. But otherwise, looks great to me. PerryPlanet (talk) 20:09, 24 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
