Isle of Arran[edit]

Arran is commonly pushed into Ayrshire when it comes to general administration. For instance, the health coverage of Arran comes under that of Ayrshire in the Ayrshire and Arran Health Board. Given the small size of the island I would advocate it being classed in the same region as Ayrshire - which incidentally is already a conglomeration of several different areas (East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire etc). I think this would make things a little tidier. (WT-en) Blankfrackis 10:12, 30 January 2008 (EST)

That was indeed done some years back, and continues to make sense.
