To remove some of the clutter off the main page, I moved the TAT Listings to Talk:Sungai Kolok/Listings for future reference. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 19:47, 5 February 2010 (EST)

Sungai Golok, Thailand or Sungai Kolok, Thailand?

[edit]

This topic is up for discussion as a side issue on the "Kelantan" article. Whereas there are "About 16,800" Google results for "Sungai Kolok Thailand" there are "about 144,000 results" for "Sungai Golok Thailand." We probably need to pick one spelling and stick with it, except for mentioning the alternate spelling once in this article, but we also need a good counter-argument to such a conclusive Google win if we are going to stick with the "Kolok" spelling. One partial counter-argument (though I'd argue, not a conclusive one) is that some but not all and probably not most of the search results reference the Golok River (Sungai Golok in Malay) itself.

Input would be greatly and respectfully appreciated. (WT-en) Ikan Kekek 06:30, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

I've heard nearly exclusively of Sungai Kolok, but I have never been that far south. Wikipedia uses Su-ngai Kolok , and so does the Thailand tourism agency . --(WT-en) globe-trotter 07:41, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
