LPfi Given my misgivings, could we just remove this from the article? The problem is that I have no great evidence either way, just intuition, yet I'm also the one who propagated this image both here and on en.wp. Yes, we could and I did now. It's a nice image and we could put it back if we get more info on it, but the article is short, so not many images are needed (although images on Commons are also few). –LPfi (talk) 12:38, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

Yeah, that's the thing (described in the text) – so few people visit the Tibesti mountains; it is rarely photographed. I think what happened years ago was that I saw an image labeled "Tibesti" and was like "holy s***, a Tibesti image!", and cropped it without thinking twice.
