ROOSTER COGBURN OSTRICH RANCH

[edit]

For a great time stop and Feed the Critters at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch. It is located on Interstate 10 between Tucson and Phoenix. Take Exit #219 and then take the frontage road SE into the ranch. There are ostrich, deer, and Rainbow Lorikeets to feed so there is something for everyone! The ostrich will eat right out of your hand if you are brave enough or there are feed chutes for the more conservative feeders. The deer are so sweet and gently eat from your hand and the kids love them! The Rainbow Lorikeet Forest is a new attraction that is awesome! The small parrots land on your head, hands, and everywhere else and eat nectar out of a cup you hold. There is also shopping for ostrich products, etc., even ostrich eating eggs! A lot of fun for all ages and very affordable. (520) 466-3658. www.roostercogburn.com --- added by some anonymous editor?

Current banner
Proposed replacement

The current banner does not depict Tucson but rather the nearby San Xavier Indian Reservation, and doesn't even offer a view of the city. I would like to replace it. Thoughts or objections? –StellarD (talk) 04:36, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

The San Xavier Mission is listed first in "See". Perhaps it shouldn't be listed first? Anyway, I think I agree with you that the banner should be changed on the basis that it doesn't depict Tuscon proper. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:08, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've been undecided for quite some time on where to list the San Xavier Mission. Ideally it should be listed in South Central Arizona, but most traditional guidebooks usually lump it in with Tucson, and many visitors to Tucson consider it to be a highlight of their visit. If I place it under 'go next' it might not be noticed. On the other hand, the mission is about the same distance from Tucson as Saguaro National Park and the Santa Catalina Mountains, which have their own articles. –StellarD (talk) 15:38, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
It could be listed in a separate "Outside of town" subsection of "See". Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:27, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ah, of course! That's so obvious I feel rather silly for not seeing it myself – thanks! :) –StellarD (talk) 02:59, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
No need to feel silly. Glad to help. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:51, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

This college does not offer short courses suitable for travelers, so I've moved it here. –StellarD (talk) 22:43, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Old Pueblo Trolley

[edit]

The Old Pueblo Trolley has been out of operation since the opening of Sun Link, so perhaps you should remove the picture of it in the "Drink" section.
