Dialects of Uyghur[edit]
Unfortunately, I haven't found any English videos on this, but for those of you who are interested, and understand Chinese, here are some videos on the subject that were taken from Chinese social media and re-uploaded to YouTube: [1], [2]. I'm not sure which dialect this phrasebook is based on, but if you can understand Chinese, they actually mention that people from Khotan have a very distinctive way of pronouncing the "r", which sounds more similar to the pronunciation in American and Irish English, while most other Uyghurs trill their "r" like in Spanish and Italian.
