East County Cities
[edit]- (Cross-posted for region hierarchy impact) As part of discussion on Talk:West Side (Los Angeles County), an appropriate category solution for Agoura Hills and Westlake Village is being discussed, possibly for inclusion with the Conejo Valley cities. an article list for this county/region is proposed as Thousand Oaks, Simi/Moorpark, Fillmore, Santa Paula, Ventura, Oxnard/Hueneme, Camarillo, Ojai, plus Agoura/Westlake. -- MisterCustomer (talk) 05:17, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Region Map and Divisions
[edit]As we've been dealing with these issues within and adjoining the Los Angeles area, I'd like the propose the following map breakdown, basically reflecting the discussion regarding the Conejo Valley and East County Cities, with a small change to group Santa Paula, Saticoy, Fillmore, and Piru in a single district. If the content eventually forces a reevaluation of that, we'll handle it accordingly, but I feel like they are reasonably similar enough to be bundled. At least this is something to get us talking. -- MisterCustomer (talk) 08:29, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ooh, I like the map. It's nice and clear, and the inclusion of the Santa Monica Mountains wrapping around Agoura drives home why it makes sense for Agoura be included here. PerryPlanet (talk) 17:24, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- OK, in the absence of objection, I'm going to get the map up to WV standards and start moving towards this hierarchy on the County Page level. -- MisterCustomer (talk) 06:38, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, you made the map quite beautiful. Congrats! Texugo (talk) 18:52, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- Well, shucks... I think a Venn diagram of map nerds and Wikivoyagers might be pretty close to a perfect circle. I'm planning on doing these for the rest of the Central Coast sub-regions, at least. If people like them, I'm willing and able to do more. -- MisterCustomer (talk) 19:07, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
